ORION SEATTLE - SOUTH LAKE UNION, SEATTLE, WA

Vulcan Real Estate needed a solution for the future capacity of car charging while meeting the City of Seattle’s changing building energy codes. Original estimates for building electric capacity with EV charging code requirements placed the service at 2,500 amps. When re-evaluated with the installation of an adaptive load management device, the service was reduced to 1600 amps, saving the project over $50,000 and allowing for one more parking space.
